The much-loved Reverend Joseph E. Lowery celebrated his 85th birthday at the Martin Luther King International Chapel, Morehouse College, on October 19, 2006. 

Attending the celebration were Atlanta Veterans For Peace members Ingemar Smith and Debbie Clark.
